Bandeirante Esporte Clube are a club from the lower reaches of the Paulista championship in Brazil and this one takes it's place in the hallowed hall of the Football Jersey Museum courtesy of our man in Sao Paulo, Bira. A "Bandeirante" is apparently a type of colonial Brazilian scout and an important symbol of Brazilian history. I've no idea why the club from Birigui should choose that name. The shirt itself is a fantastic design although the quality of the material is not Dell'Erba's best work.
