This is a frankly crazy shirt. Beijing Celtic are an amateur team of British and Irish ex-pats based in the Chinese capital. This would be enough to make it bizarre enough to merit a place in my collection but this particular artifact is stranger still. It's a match worn shirt from Beijing Celtic's tour to North Korea in 2003. North Korea. Quite why this team decided to do this and how it got through the officialdom of the most politically isolated country in the world is beyond me but it did happen and the sleevepatch is there to prove it. The shirt is a generic one, having no recognised manufacturer and is solidly made. It's a crazy shirt made for a crazy tour.
