Bolivia were fancied as a dark horse for the 1994 World Cup. The had qualified well but performed terribly. Their star player, Marco Etcheverry, got sent off ten minutes after coming on as a sub in a loss to Germany in the opening match and missed Bolivia's remaining two games through suspension. Bolivia's excellent home record in qualification may have something to do with playing their home matches in La Paz at altitudes that would make a Sherpa wheeze. As with many Umbro shirts this one is solid if unspectacular.
