This is a fantastic shirt used as a primary away shirt during Corinthians centenary season. The gold colours on the badge, replacing the usual red, along with the centenary years embroidery are a couple of nice feature on this striking and singular shirt. The shirt carries the name and number of the great striker Ronaldo who finished his career at Corinthians striving to win his, and the club's, first Copa Libertadores. Sadly it wasn't to happen for Ronaldo and he announced his retirement in the same week that I received this shirt from my good friend, and big Corinthians fan, Bira Rezende. Ronaldo was a truly fabulous player who still managed to have a very fine career despite a couple of horrifying knee injuries. Over 15 years his CV picked up a few great clubs. How many other players can boast having played for PSV, Barcelona, Real Madrid, Inter and AC Milan as well as Cruzeiro and Corinthians in his native Brazil? Add over sixty international goals and a two world cup medals and you have one very fine player.
