Elgin City hail from the remote North East of Scotland are a classic example of a Scottish lower league club. It seems strange that a small country like Scotland should have 42 league clubs and it means you end up with teams like Elgin. The town has a population of approximately 20000 and yet they have a league club. This shirt is from Elgin's first season in the Scottish League following it's election from the Highland League in 2000. It's always good to see a team play in the classic black and white stripes. The shirt is standard Errea fayre but the badge is worthy of a look with angels flanking a bishop! Great badge, average shirt and a valued addition to the collection.
