Germany (both East and West) traditionally played in fairly dull white shirts with a bit of trim until 1990 when the black, yellow and red of the German flag was used by Adidas on the utterly fabulous shirt for the 1990 World Cup. This 1992 variant made for the European Championships may not be quite as striking as the 1990 version but it's still a nice bit of kit. It carries the number 7 on the rear usually worn by the team's creative touchstone, Andreas Moeller. The Germans reached the final of Euro 92 and were heavy favourites to beat Denmark . It didn't quite work out that way though, did it?
