Wunderbar! Wunderbar! Adidas show that even the lacklustre 2004 template can be made to work with the right combination of colours. Germany had this simply awesome shirt at the same time as a red and yellow away shirt which frankly made them look like Spain. This one is much better. The shirt also carries the name and number of iconic (and classically German steroetype) Michael Ballack, a player who for me never really reached the heights which his ability, physique and Teutonic self belief (bordering on arrogance) promised as a younger player. The story goes that while he was at Chelsea he was injured so often that his white Ferrari was nicknamed "The Ambulance" by his team mates.
