|MANUFACTURER||Le Coq Sportif|
Historically Kilmarnock always played in blue and white stripes but wandered away from that design for a season or two. I quite like this design an think Le Coq Sportif did a good job on the quality and the finish. It also has a patch on the sleeve commemorating their Scottish Cup win of the previous season. It's a departure from Killie's traditional blue and white stripes and it's a really nice shirt, one of Le Coq Sportif's better designs in my opinion. I remember asking Kilmarnock fan, Wallace Currie who gave me this shirt if he would rather draw a small team and progress in the UEFA Cup Winners Cup (as it then was) or get a glamour tie with a major side like Barcelona and get a glamour tie. He looked me in the eye and said "We'd beat Barcelona anyway" and he meant it. For the record Kilmarnock beat Shelbourne before being eliminated by Nice in the first round proper.
