Kuban Krasnodar are from southern Russia and are generally found in the second tier of Russian football although they do occasionally have a dalliance in the top tier. This shirt from 2007 was provided by my good friend and fellow shirt collector, Anton Sorokin. The shirt carries the name and number of long serving Kuban midfielder Artur Tlisov. The shirt is a standard Umbro build of the period and I especially like the old style badge which is redolent of Soviet era grain production targets. As regular visitors to the site will know I've have issues surround Football Manager dependency on the PC and one of my proudest achievements on that game was back to back Russian league titles with Fakel Voronezh. Part of the team I put together was Artur Tlisov playing on the right wing. Other players who's shirts are on the site who were part of my Fakel team are Alexandr Pavlenko on the left wing and Marat Bikmaev at centre forward.
