Ponte Preta (which is Portuguese for "Black Bridge") are one of Brazil's oldest clubs and one with an interesting history. The club's nickname in Macaca (which means monkey) and it was originally a racist slur used by other clubs as Ponte Preta were amongst the first clubs to field black players back in less enlightened times. The club adopted this slur as their nickname and revelled in it. As for this shirt, it's one of the best little gems to fly into the collection from Brazil. The black sweep on the shoulder is a nice touch which helps make this a fairly memorable shirt. .
