This is an away shirt done in Samp's colours with white replacing blue the usual blue as the main colour. Kappa have kept Sampdoria's traditional shirt design with multiple bands across the chest which came about when the club was formed with the merger of two other clubs. The other distinctive thing about all Samp shirts is the badge which is a silhouette of a sailor whose name translates as "John the Baptist". I have no idea why this is. The St George's Cross of the chest id a representation of the flag of Sampdoria's home city, Genoa.
