TEAM Venezia SEASON(S) 2002
HOME/AWAY Away COUNTRY Italy
MANUFACTURER Kelme

Kelme are a Spanish company and Italy is positively overrun with native manufacturers so it's surprising to see an Italian club with Kelme kit. Venezia, in this incarnation were bankrupt and liquidated. They reformed as SSC Venezia. And went bankrupt again in 2009 and then reformed again as Unione Venezia. The Assyrian looking lion on the badge is actually based on a statue in San Marco square in Venice. An interesting footnote about the shirt is that the sponsor is the Italian phonetic pronounciation of MZ, the chairman's initials. I'm led to believe that the chairman at the time, Maurizio Zamparini owned the Emmazeta chain of shops and sponsored his own club..
